[ views ] Junzo Yoshimura designed Shofuso, a structure that now resides in Philadelphia(www.shofuso.com).It is through visiting and vo lunteering at Shofuso that I learned about Junzo Yoshimura. His architecture is significant in the modern architecture world, but more importantly, it is thoughful and respectful of nature and a great representation of Japanese design aesthetic. It wou ld be a sad waste to demolish the buildings at Aichi-gedai. One would think that the leaders of a Japanese Fine Arts would appr eciate the value of it's own countryman's design. I hope Yoshim ura's creations will be preserved.

As an effect, nation itself is loosing its identity : History is the very basis of the identity of the self. As a consequence, losed in themself because on this personnal lo st of identity, most Japanese People are seeking forms of ident ity in authoritative political governance and in false westerne rs view on Japan. Such "psychological mirrors" are dangerous and illusory. Please, preserve the patrimony : it shall bring not only a beaut ifull image of the self and its powerfull abilty to create to m ost japanese people, but also become a very precious source of f oreign currencies to a country where people shall no more dream to travel if nothing remains of what has been the basis of its international notoriety. e people,
